Day after day, week after week and month after month, people go about their work trying to etch out a living in the way they best can, very often living a mundane life.
However, there are people who refuse the daily humdrum which life hands out to them.  These are the people who take life by its horn and turn it to the direction they want to go and create a different life, an amazing life.

One of them is Yayoi Kusama. She is now acknowledged as one of the most important living artists to come out of Japan, and an important voice of the avant-grade. More importantly, being a female artist in the 1950s, she denounced the stereotyping and suppression of her society to achieve control of her own life.
